Why does Alecia Beth Moore use pink as her stage name?

Its actually quite disturbing why, but one day she did an interview on tv and the host asked the same question. Truth is, Pink was a wild child. She had a friend who was very close to her and one day he just randomly asked to see her "private area", at first she thought he was joking, but then he said he was serious. And being as wild as she is, Pink actually showed him..and his reply was "Wow, yours is really pink!". After that incident the nickname stuck.

I was very shocked when i saw that...but that's what she said.

Well...Pink's name - or nickname - comes from a character Mr Pink in Quentin Tarantino's film Reservoir Dogs!

she got the nickname when she was singing, and a man told her she looked like Mr. Pink. she then dicided to keep the name but change it to P!nk
