Stevie Wonder is more famous than Bruce Dickinson (the lead singer of Iron Maiden). Stevie's music is typically more mainstream than Iron Maiden's, so that's why Stevie is more famous than Maiden.
Since about 1984, yes he does.
First album Bruce Dickinson recorded with Iron Maiden was The Number Of The Beast (1982). After Fear Of The Dark tour he left the bend and worked on his solo career. He was back in Maiden again on album Brave New World and still singing with hem.
Bruce Dickinson was with another band called Samson before joining the Iron Maiden in 1981 after the band fired Paul Di'Anno. Other Iron Maiden band members, Thunderstick and Clive Burr were also part of Samson at some point of time.
