I think because it wasn't really the same style of his previous albums like The Slim Shady Lp, The Marshal Mathers Lp, The Eminem Show, and Encore. I mean I love Eminem but Relapse was kinda "ugh". Especially when he talks about his dad raping him.
Recovery is better in my opinion but I like the old Slim Shady better.
