Well PRS probably want to replace it with something else. Or maybe the sales of the SE Customs were dropping. A lot of PRS SE's are being dropped actually.
Anyways on the bright side it will mean they will be cut in price! I'm waiting for the price drops myself, anticipating a SH Soapbar!
According to a serial number dating thingy I found online it was made in 1989.
Surely. PRS 25th Anniversary SE Custom 24! You would never get disappointed. They pay attention to each individual guitars. It even comes well set up and tuned. Even the strings are of high quality. If you start playing PRS, you would never go for any other brand. The same guitar is available with EMG pickups with BAT inlays. The most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen.My advice is to buy the PRS Paul Allender series and replace the Tuners with locking tuners, if you are particular in that. remember, the tuners come with the PRS are excellent and never go out of tune. Go to a shop and handle a PRS and the Epiphone; get a belt and put it across your shoulders and and play for 10 minutes in standing position. For PRS, you would feel the sound penetrating through your veins and the excellent looks of the PRS is just an addition to the awsome sound it delivers. Go for a PRS man! I had the same question you have and I have done enough research in this. Best of luck.
I would say that the SE guitars are the cheapest PRSes. They are like a starter version of the better models. Kind of like how Epiphone is for Gibson. If you are willing to spend a little more i would suggest getting a Prs Mira, which sells for around 1400-1500. It may be pricey, but it is a much better guitar.
I believe he plays a PRS SE Dave Navarro guitar. It's very clearly not a Les Paul.
they both have a whammy bar, the newer ones just don't come with the whammy on the guitar(for some odd reason.)
they are two different models of guitar is you go to the prs website you will see the differences in the two of them

To sell a PRS SE Singlecut guitar you can take out a free advertisement on craigslist. A couple of other options for selling a guitar are Amazon or eBay.

Some of the best electric guitar models with HSH pickup configurations available in the market include the Ibanez RG550, the Fender American Professional Stratocaster, and the PRS SE Custom 24. These guitars offer versatile tonal options and are popular choices among guitarists for their sound and playability.
