Why is rock music bad?
Rock music from what I understand is very cyclical in nature. Like all phenomena, it is subject to birth, decay, and death. It is a challenge to say that there is something absolutely wrong with rock music today because all forms of art serve some type of purpose... but if that purpose is to feed anger, aggression, denial/projection of feelings then I'd say.... That freckin sucks. All must come full circle. And I certainly hope all is well, but those intentions will cost ya.... My advice to rock musicians would be... 1. Practice Zazen, work a regular job with your band mates, and learn to trust yourself 2. Learn, Practice, and master your chosen instrument 3. Learn to transcend technology/social media 4.Face any emotional/psychological issues with professionals you might also like.... www.inafj.org
Is rock music a bad infulence?
Good music comes in all forms. Rock and roll is not bad for the mind any more than other styles are bad for the mind. Is it educational? Probably not, but no one has claimed to have learned things by listening to classical music either. Those who suggest that rock and roll is not good quality music tend to be musical snobs. There is a vast amount of uplifting, rousing and emotive rock and roll music out there and long may it continue. So far, academics have found little evidence to show that rock and roll is damaging.
