The Flute is the only woodwinds instrument that does not use a reed. Also only common wind instrument that the mouth does not wrap around. You can get open-holed and closed-holed flutes. That's all I can think of off the top of my head! Hope this helped!
1. It does not use a reed. 2. It is higher pitched. 3. It has no wood at all, even though it is in the woodwind family.
The flute is different because it is an instrument where you blow across not into it The flute is different because it is an instrument where you blow across not into it
it's one of the oldest instruments, it's the only instrument you hold up to the side and blow at the same time and it is one of the highest one in the band
it is played by blowing air into the mouthpiece and producing sounds by covering a hole to create a tone
it is harder to start playing than other woodwinds
The flute has no rid on it sarahlexia
because it has keys and a blowhole and have keys other instruments don't
you play it across your body
Flute, saxophone, trombone, clarinet,

Being similar to a flute, yes...it's a woodwind. No wooden reed, but yes, still a woodwind.
