If the string is not taught (strung with tension that holds it up and with little sway) then the sound wave would have too much resistance as it tried to pass through the string which would prevent it from reaching the other end.
yes the shorter it is and the more lightweight it is the better your tin can telephone will be.
Yes, but only if the string is kept taut. A slack string causes the vibrations to dissipate in the first 1/2 inch of string.
Clearly a Rocky Horror related question... as in "Wound up like an 'E' or first string." 6-string guitar has a high E string wound up nice and tight.
You take two pieces of string and fold them in half.Tie them into a bow.Make a loop.Use the same string to pull it trough.Pull it as tight as you can.Keep on going till you run out of string.GOOD LUCK!
Bass guitar strings should be tightened to the point where they are in tune. This generally doesnt require an incredibly tight wind, but there definitely will be a certain amount of tension when properly tuned.
The string telephone mimics the use of a landline phone. Popular with science projects, a string telephone used vibrations to produce acoustic sounds.
To make a telephone with cups, you will need two cups, a long piece of string, and a sharp object like a nail. Poke a small hole in the bottom of each cup. Thread the string through the holes and tie knots on the inside to secure it. Pull the string tight and talk into one cup while the other person listens through the other cup. The vibrations from your voice will travel along the string, creating a simple homemade telephone.
Nobody knows when the string telephone was invented (as far as I know), but I do know that the tin can telephone was invented in 1664-65.
Take a long piece of string or twin that you can pull tight. One person go to one corner, or side, of the room and the other opposit of them. Press the string down on the floor and the other person pull tight while pressing their end of the string on the floor. By pulling tight is should show where the floor is and isn't touching the string.

Take two paper cups and poke wholes through the bottom. Get some string and insert it through the bottom of the cup. Tie knots on the ends of it so it will pull through the bottom of the cup. Then make the string taught and talk into the cup. If pulled taut enough, the string will carry the vibrations of your speech, and your string telephone should work.

How long is a piece of string?
To make telephone cups, you will need two paper or plastic cups, a long piece of string, and a sharp object like a pencil. Poke a small hole in the bottom of each cup. Thread the string through the holes, tying a knot inside each cup to secure it. Pull the string tight so the cups are connected, and then talk into one cup while holding the other to your ear to hear the sound travel through the string.

1667: Robert Hooke invented a string telephone that conveyed sounds over an extended wire by mechanical vibrations.
I say you wear a V string or a g string. i like the g string on myself because it it tight and i like to pull it tight because it feels good all around and i feel so sexy in it. i love the way it feels. a v string is more comfortable if u like wearing softer thongs and you can still make it tight. :)i suggest the g string it feels better looks better and it feels like your not wearring anything if u want more comfort i rekon v strings i wear v strings if im going out for a long while. definatly the g string or the t string
