There are three major classifications: Student, Advanced Student, Semi-Pro and Professional
Student instruments are the least expensive to buy and are for:
- The absolute beginner,
- The parent who is on a very tight budget,
- The rough kid who does not take care of his or her things like they should,
- The player who will use the instrument in tough conditions, such as marching,
- The student who is not focused enough on music,
- The student who just takes music because he has to,
- The student who always has to be told to practice,
- The student who takes music for fun but will not make music an overly important part of his or her life.
The Holton T602 is an excellent student/beginner trumpet. It was my first trumpet, and I played on it for 4 years. It's reliable, and easy to take care of. However, keep in mind that it is a STUDENT model trumpet. It is not made of the highest quality materials, and if the student wishes to continue on through high school (or beyond), you'll want to get a professional model trumpet.
If it's a Conn trumpet, it's the model number. The Conn 20B is a student model horn.
honestly you can buy a used trumpet that is perfect condition for under a 1000 dollars i bought a getzen that reall cost 2500 dollars but i got it use for only 300 dollars and its in perfect condition but if you want a brand new trumpet then you should buy a Yamaha student trumpet it ranges between 100-500
The build quality of a trumpet can effect the tonality, range and ease of use of the instrument.
Bach trumpets, in general, will be good trumpets. The Omega is sometimes considered an "intermediate" level trumpet, providing a stepping stone between a beginner horn and a Stradivarius professional trumpet. Basically, the Omega model will be a good trumpet for an advanced student who is ready to "move on" from their first trumpet, but may not be willing to spend the money for a professional quality trumpet.

They certainly can. A "professional" trumpet is just one which is very well made, giving it the best possible sound. Student trumpets aren't as high quality, but are far less expensive so potential student players don't have to spend thousands of dollars just to play in an elementary school band.

You can use any instrument to play jazz but the "Jazz" trumpet (A trumpet with Valves) in the key of Bb is the best.
This trumpet was only from the 60's or 70's. It's a simple trumpet and they made many. If in good condition, maybe $100.
YES you can my instructor and i have a silver trumpet and we use valve oil if you don't have oil use saliva {spit}
to reduce your sound on a trumpet, use a mute or play with less air
The trumpet's brassy addition to the world of music is revered by many.
