I think what makes any music "special" is that you can hear a song and remember where you were, who you were with and what you were doing. It's called nostalgia. Many of the Stones songs are like that.
what makes them unique!?! how old are you ? ( no disrespect).
they were the 2nd band from England for the british invasion( can you NAME the other one....? ) !
What REALLY makes them unique is that they took an AMERICAN art form-- the blues--, from Black Americans, and they studied it , and loved it and idolized it and internalized it and then SOLD IT BACK to disillusioned white kids who had no idea where it came from originally! or interest in it..........
the stones ( and most all of the other british cats who are rock stars) loved the blues, and the black Americans who created it--muddy waters, howlin' wolf, BUDDY GUY and many others, and they have been life long friends now with those remaining icons. The stones then--over those next FORTY SEVEN YEARS !!--helped
promote the original artists and worked to get them more recognition AND the deserved royalty $$ that they were due.
and. the fact that The Rolling Stones HAVE REMAINED a working group
into their 5th decade together ALSO makes them rather unique, don't you think?
