Michael just wasn't impressed by him. He did not grow up listening to, watching and studying Elvis like he did with the other artists who influenced him.

Who had a greater impact in music Elvis or Michael Jackson?

Answer: I believe Elvis was more of an impact on music because he was the first rock star. "THE KING". I think if there was a vote on who was better Elvis would win becasue he has been around alot longer. But Elvis's music wasnt as good as MJs, so i go for MJ. Answer: That's a difficult question. I would go for Micheal Jackson but its debatable. Answer: It's a question that's bound to attract fans clamouring for one or the other. I'll stay as neutral as possible and say that in terms of impact I think Elvis had the edge, since in his time, the music scene was very narrow, and what Elvis did was to open up that scene--that's a massive impact. On the other hand, Elvis' only talent was his voice (and hips)--he wrote none of his own songs, and compared to Michael Jackson (musical talent-wise) he was a dwarf. And before anybody mentions anything about weirdness, Elvis was not far behind MJ in the cuckoo stakes. Therefore i believe that Michael Jackson had a greater impact.
