Well I think you probualy hit it againist something and messed up you Flute. Have your band teacher look at it and usually he can fix it unless you are like me. My friend sat on my flute and well it completely bent. Notes never came out right or not at all. So at that point my dad fixed it but I probualy needed a new flute.

Hey there, what I think uou may need to do is clean the pads, clean the inside of the flute and the 'cork' part. Cleaning the cork means you can slide the head joint around easier to make sure it's not just facing an awkward angle for your embouchre. (sometime when mine is stiff, I don't turn it and try to play anyway and it just sounds breathy)
The screws at the end of the rows of keys also come loose often, tighten them with a fingernail or screwdriver, but not too tight or it'll still sound bad- it's trial and error, really. I found not leaving my flute set up whilst I'm not playing it helps, and warming up the flute by breathing down it or playing a long low C. Yeah, when I or my flute are cold, all the notes come out scratchy and quiet...
