Starting issues can arise from any number of problems. It could be electrical, fuel related, a vacumm line disconnected, a bad battery (electrical) or even a blackbox computer thingy. We would need much more detailed information in order to diagnose some potentials for you.
Does the starter make noise when you turn the key or is the vehicle totally dead? Does it sound like its starting but never really does or does it start and then die? Provide more info including if possible a description of noises that it makes etc and any recent troubles or repairs that you've had done and I feel confident that one of us will have experienced the same and can guide you in the right direction.....or at least some direction.
As far as the expense? Our advice is free and you get what you pay for.
Good luck !!!!
If your car has starting problems it could be that your starter motor is scewed! So maybe you should get a new starter motor or even better get a new car! (my favourite is my friends Holden Commodore 2006 model which is seriusly hot and he said that the car is mine when i get my liecence!! yay me!!)
The solenoid is built on the starter.
If your Ford Bantam is not starting, you might have a dead battery or a problem with the starter. You might also have an empty gas tank or clogged fuel filter.
Disconnect - battery cable Raise and support vehicle Disconnect wiring from starter Remove mounting bolts Drop starter
Don't replace the switch yet; I would say that it sounds more like a battery cable/battery ground connection. I would recheck all these connections plus I would really inspect the starter solenoid and its connection. Power can still flow thru but the starter motor requires much more power than accessories so any weak connection will prevent your car from starting. The starter solenoid sits on top of the starter and was probably replaced as a unit, but just because its new does not mean it is not defective. Check it out.
It is self destructing. Replace the starter.
Bad starter, bad starter solenoid, or the problem might not be the starter at all.
no, the starter is only for starting the engine.
The starter solenoid is part of the starter assembly so it's on the starter
Ignition switch, battery, battery cables, starter relay, starter solnoid, starter, flywheel ring gear.
The solenoid is attached to the starter. Replace the starter.
The starter solenoid is attached to the starter.
I assume a 3 phase, AC induction motor. A star delta starter or a soft starter can be used. A soft starter is better compared to a star delta starter, but it is more expensive.
see if starter is starting to go....
The starter solenoid is bad.
The starter is located between the engine and the radiator on the 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse. The starter is responsible for starting the car.
because at the starting the induction motor drawn a heavy current thats why we use starter to increase the starting resistance of the induction motor!
