Because your car is old and a piece of crap. Seriously, check the alternator. It may be dying.
Yes.
Leak in vacuum line to cruise control servo (actuator). Most commonly caused by vacuum line being inadvertently bumped & disconnected while someone is working under the hood or there may be a crack in the line. Another possibility is a bad servo. I believe the servo is located in the space between the battery and radiator (not sure on this because I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 with the diesel engine which does not use a servo for the cruise control.) Once you locate your servo, follow the vacuum line from it & check for cracks. Yet another possibility is the servo cable may be disconnected from the throttle body.
my radio has static in it an i put another one in it an it still has static in it to.
The answer is simple - You can't fix it! I had the very same problem in the very same vehicle. I also had a Dodge Intrepid with the same exact problem. The evaporator has to be replaced. I dodge dealer will chare you about $850.00 The dash has to be completely removed. This problem seems to be too common with Dodge vehicles. I bought my last Dodge product in 2001 (Grand Carrivan) I will no longer by any Dodge vehicles. Good Luck!
If it only smokes at startup and the smoke is blue this is normally a sign of worn valve seals or guides. White smoke is a symptom of blown head gasket. Black smoke is a symptom of overly rich fuel/air mixture.
Probably a bad clockspring, be carefull that probably meens you're airbag is out of function too, Does the airbag light come on?
often times a rough idle can occur, in addition the speedometer and cruise control will not work.
A Dodge mechanic.
if cruise control and horn aren't working...i bet it's the clock spring..check if there is a recall on it
A loose wire on a 98 Dodge Intrepid car horn will make it stop working. Another reason it may stop working is a blown fuse.
It does control the alternators charging of the battery.
1999 dodge intrepid is not starting I change crank and camshaft sensor and it stall will not start what can i do next.
If the climate control doesn't work on a Dodge Intrepid a faulty connection may be the issue. Re-soldering the connections, if they are lose, will fix the problem.
The Intrepid's suspension does not have "a" arms. It is a diiferent type of suspension. There are control arms out by the wheels.
The repair will depend on what part of the cruise control is broken.
The 2004 Dodge Intrepid PCM power control module can be found on the firewall in the engine compartment. The PCM power control module will be on the passenger side of the firewall.
You need to check the control system for codes.
