There will still be charges and you most likely will have to pay the fine. At the time you were issued the ticket, you were in violation of the law. The fact that you subsequently came into compliance with the law does not change the fact that you weren't at the time the ticket was issued. Even though subsequent compliance will not change the fact that you were guilty at the time it is possible that you can try to plea bargain with the prosecutor by showing him you're now in compliance. Maybe he/she will recommend a lower fine or lesser charge. Sometimes on a fairly minor charge like that, you can get a deal, because the police do not like having to pull the officer who gave you the ticket off the street if he is on duty to come to court to testify. Also if he is not on duty, he would have to be called in to testify and that might mean the municipality has to pay him overtime whicky1978: That's not true.
