Because, by definition, rap is music. Does that make it something I would choose to listen to? No. But people's tastes differ drastically, and what may not appeal to you might appeal to someone else. It's all subjective. I have friends and relatives that enjoy rap, and others who loathe it passionately. Liking or disliking rap doesn't make you a better or worse person, it simply means you're an individual with tastes that differ from those of others.
