He is there to keep you from wandering the realms of Hades and Poseidon until you know what you are looking for. Once you go to the Tree of Immortality and have an errand from Zeus, you can go past him.
You cannot go to the temples of Hades or Poseidon until you have the Scroll of Zeus, which you get at the Tree of Immortality. Go the the temple of Muses and get the reed pipe (flute) and learn the song from the statue of Euterpe, muse of music.
first you get the golden apple and get the mission then go past the goat man (satyr) then go off the cliff then click on the boy then clean all the stuff off of hades temple then click on him and he will give you a drachma.
satyr shows you secret passage.
The satyrs at the bridge (left) and Grove of Temples (right) prevent you from entering these areas until you know what you are looking for. Once you have the reed pipe from the Temple of Muses, and the starfish from the Museum of Olympus, you have done all you can do until you pass the Tree of Immortality, and have the scroll from Zeus.
You go up into the tree and meet a satyr. "Can you help me reach the golden apple?" you ask. "The nymphs hid all my honey! collect ten jars and I'll help you." the satyr answers.
Climb the Tree of Immortality and get the Golden Apple. You will need to gather the missing honeypots for the satyr so that he shows you the path to the apple.
Grover Underwood was not a god. He was a satyr. In Greek mythology, a satyr was a creature that was half man and half goat.
He doesn't. The reason there are satyrs on the Garden bridge and in the Grove is to require players to know what they are looking for before randomly entering these areas. You will need to get the Golden Apple and Zeus's quest before you go left from the Tree of Immortality or right from the Temple of Muses.
The "goat" on Mythology Island is not part of the quest at all. Perhaps this refers to the "satyr" (man-goat) at the top of the Tree of Immortality, who shows you the path to the Golden Apple. (you must retrieve 10 honeypots in 60 seconds - this was made easier than it was)
A Satyr.
Nothing. The satyr will ask you to collect his honey jars, and show you the secret path. He leaves when Zeus arrives, and the Golden Apple is never used again.
Climb the Tree of Immortality (use the bouncy mushrooms) and talk to the satyr at upper right. If you can recover his lost honey, he will help you get the Golden Apple. When you do, Zeus appears and offers you immortality if you return 5 sacred items that are scattered around the island.
