First of all Guitar is the main instrumental when playing with others where as bass is for background. If you have a bass you want to get a bass amp and and for guitar vice versa. The primary differences are in the loudspeakers and matching, not the amplifiers! If you buy a combined amplifier & speaker unit it's easy because that's all done for you, but why do people muddle speakers with amps?
