Depending on what your planning on doing with your DJ set. If your planning on being a party DJ that plays music, I suggest an iPod mixer because you can play the music with your Ipod and you could scratch to it with the turntables. You're going to also need high powered speakers for the parties so everyone can hear it well. If your going to be a Beat-making DJ, you will also need the USB turntable and a beat-making program to put on your ard drive. Usually one comes with the turntable but companies always try to screw you. If you want to be a scratch turntablist like me you will need 2 turntables preferably. It doesnt matter what company you use really just stay away from American DJ. You will need a mixer too. I have the Gemini PS626X 3-channel mixer. It is great I have 6 DJ sets in total and 6 mixers. This one has to be my favorite. It's also te cheapest which makes it very underrated. Its only 100 dollars (which is cheap in the DJ world). You will also need speakers. You need headphones to so you can find where your little bit on the vinyl you need to scratch on without anyone hearing the noises. And of course you need the vinyls (the discs) to make te scratchs
