While I can't say for certain (via research) that the following artists have sampled The Spinners I'm 100% certain in my mind that their songs contain "impressions" or "interpolations" of the hit single "- "I'll Be Around." I love the original so much that it's very easy for me to pick up similar patterns in other songs. Below is a list of songs I've compiled that contain parts or samples of "I'll Be Around." I could be wrong, but I challenge anyone to listen to these songs and tell me if you can't hear the samples. Recall in the original song the verse "This.... Is our Fork in the Road" and compare that verse, the cadence in the songs below
Michael Henderson - "In the Nighttime"
Alycia Myers - "I Want To Thank You"
S.O.S. Band - "Just the Way You Like It"
Roberta Flack/Donny Hathaway - "Back Together Again"
George Benson - "Love x Love"
TRU - "Tru Homies" Rappin 4 tay - not sure of title

Daft Punk didn't sample Jason Derulo, Jason Derulo sampled Daft Punk. The song that he sampled was "Around the World"- he used the main vocal track as part of his song's lyrics. I don't know the name of Jason's song, but I know there are videos on YouTube of him singing it live.
