The main difference between band and orchestra instruments is the type of music they typically play. Band instruments are often used in marching bands and concert bands, playing a variety of music genres. Orchestra instruments are used in symphony orchestras, playing classical music. Additionally, band instruments usually have a brighter sound and are often made of brass or woodwind materials, while orchestra instruments have a more mellow sound and include strings like violins and cellos.
No, an orchestra is not considered a band. An orchestra typically consists of classical musicians playing instruments like violins, cellos, and flutes, while a band usually refers to a group of musicians playing popular music with instruments like guitars, drums, and keyboards.
Common musical instruments used in a band include the piano, guitar, drums, bass guitar, and various wind and brass instruments like saxophone and trumpet. Each instrument contributes to the overall sound and harmony of the music.
A typical Celtic band often features instruments such as the fiddle, tin whistle, bodhrán (a type of drum), accordion, and the Celtic harp. Other common instruments include the flute, mandolin, and guitar. The combination of these instruments creates a lively and rich sound that is characteristic of Celtic music traditions. Depending on the region and style, additional instruments like the uilleann pipes or banjo may also be included.
In a symphonic band, you will typically find instruments such as flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones, French horns, tubas, and percussion instruments like drums and cymbals.
The only band I can think of is Battles and the music video song is Atlas.
No. No one expects the band teacher to be proficient on ALL the instruments in the band. It is important for the band teacher to have a rudimentary understanding of the various instruments and their use but more than anything, a band teacher should be very well versed in music theory and reading sheet music.

That one band that makes music with instruments.
I written for bands before and its simple choose/make a tune then add in the other instruments my advice is to use sibelus or garage band software as it's easy to use and lets you create differnet tunes with your instruments and lets you listen to it if you don't like it you can always delete it Good Luck
Typically, a "band" is just a group of people. Musically, however, a "band" is a group of people collaborating on music. Usually, they will play different instruments. If they all sing, but do not play other instruments, then it is a "singing group". The most common combination of instruments in a band is a lead vocalist (sometimes with back-up singers that are also playing different instruments, but not always), guitarist, bassist, and drums. Sometimes there will be a keyboardist. Most bands are associated with the "rock" music label, however, genres for them are not necessarily restricted to this.
