Mrs. Vera Hamilton is alive and well, living in Southern California. Now singing gospel at her home church in Downey, California. She attended and sang at Johnny Otis' home-going service at the Musician's Union Hall in Los Angeles with her former Ikettes/Otisettes Alesia "Sugar" Butler, Tiresia "Honey" Butler, & Stonye Figuroa on February 26, 2012. She has a documentary in the works of her life in the music industry
Edna LeJeune Wood Richardson Fletcher was an Ikette during the Ike and Tina Turner Review days. She remained friends with Tina after Tina left Ike and joined Tina's band as backup singer and dancer/dance captain when Tina went solo. Her longtime experience as a Turner backup singer and dancer also earned her a position as instructor to the dancers and choreographer on the biopic "What's Love Got To Do With It". LeJeune remained with Tina until 1991 when she retired from touring to concentrate on her family - husband Graham Fletcher, an engineer/architect and her two children from her second marriage.
As a whole family Ike and Tina have four sons, Ike Jr, Michael, Ronnie and Craig. Ike Jr. and Michael were from Ike's previous marriage so, the two aren't Tina's kids. She adopted them after Tina and Ike got married. Tina bared Ike's son Ronnie... Ronnie is the only kid Ike and Tina had together. But Tina would've gotten 2 kids with Ike if she didn't get an abortion. When she discovered that she was pregnant with Ike's kid in 1968, she was disgusted too because her best friend (an Ikette at that time) Ann Thomas was pregnant with Ike's kid too. Tina had a relationship with one of Ike's saxophone players Raymond Hill, (this was before Ike and Tina got married or were together) She gave birth to Craig, Raymond and Tina's son. But Raymond left the band AND Tina.
