∙ 12y agoIt's between, Biggie Smalls & Tupac. The reason it's not lil' wayne, or jay-z. Is because rap is not about who makes the most money or his the coolest. Biggie, because his songs were real stories of what it's like to live the life of a Brooklyn kid. 'The Ten Crack Commandments'- the life of a crack dealer. 'Suicidal Thoughts'- depression and loneliness. 'Big Poppa'- the life of a pimp. 'Juicy'- the life of a bump. 'Hypnotize'- becoming king of the hood.
Tupac, because he just got in front of a microphone and let a song flow out. He might not be the king of rap, but he is the king of musical arts.

∙ 11y agoLil Kim because she set a standard that is constantly mimicked today. Also every up & coming rapper/female rapper will usually go against her to make a name for themselves because to be on top , you would have to dethrone the Queen and Lil' Kim is queen to them. She's had one of the longest career's in hip-hop and is still active today.
