Swan Records was founded by Dick Clark and his business partner, entrepreneur and music promoter, Al D. Williams, in 1957. The label is best known for releasing several hit songs, including "The Twist" by Chubby Checker. Swan Records played a significant role in the early rock and roll era before eventually ceasing operations in the mid-1960s.
