MAYNARD MAENZANISE was born on 2nd May, 1964. After primary and secondary education in Rusape, his home town, and Masvingo, he spent 3 years at Mucheke Craft Village, learning stone sculpture. He then spent seven years as a security guard, working at his art on the side. By 1989 he was earning enough from his art work to leave regular employment and take a display stand at Troutbeck and work at it full time.
