A centrepiece in a feast shoud be very tasteful but should also match its main idea so say it is a Christmas day feast then you would have a christmassy centrepiece. One of the best ways to go is to have a small flower arangement in the middle, or a few small candles in glasses to give it a warm feeling. Finally one of the newer centrepiece ideas are lamps any size anyway and any colour which will add more atmosphere to your feast, and if they're is a childrens table and you want a centrepiece for them I would suggest a ballon as the vase with flowers in it would get smashed, the candles would burn somebody/ someething and the lamp will probably have the same affect as the others.
