Another name for the parasympathetic nervous system is the craniosacral, which describes the area of the spinal cord where the nerves are located.
The two branches of the autonomic nervous system are the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. The sympathetic nervous system is responsible for the "fight or flight" response, increasing heart rate, dilating pupils, and releasing adrenaline. The parasympathetic nervous system is responsible for the "rest and digest" response, slowing heart rate, constricting pupils, and aiding in digestion.

Another name for an efferent neuron is a motor neuron. These neurons carry signals from the central nervous system to muscles, glands, and other effector organs in the body, enabling them to respond to stimuli.
The autonomic nervous system (ANS) is responsible for regulating involuntary functions of the body, such as heart rate, digestion, and respiration. It is divided into the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches, which work together to maintain homeostasis in response to internal and external stimuli.
The nervous tissue found in the lungs is primarily composed of autonomic nerve fibers, which are part of the autonomic nervous system. These fibers include both sympathetic and parasympathetic components that help regulate airway diameter, mucus secretion, and other lung functions. Additionally, sensory nerve endings in the lungs respond to various stimuli, contributing to reflex actions like coughing.
The division of autonomic nervous system (ANS) that is affected by anethesia is parasympathetic nervous system (PNS).3

I don't believe there is another name for the nervous system.

Another name for the autonomic nervous system (ANS) is the visceral nervous system.& u can also called it vegetal nervous system....
Stimulation of the Parasympathetic nervous system causes an increase in digestive tract mobility. When stimulated the parasympathetic post-ganglionic neurons release a hormone called Acetylcholine. This causes the Digestive tract to increase its contractions. Counteracting this increase in digestive tract mobility is the sympathetic nervous system, which releases a hormone called noradrenaline which slows down the digestive tracts contractions. This is how the Parasympathetic Nervous System gets the name "rest and digest"

The division of autonomic nervous system responsible for pupillary light reflex is the parasympathetic system. This is what causes the pupils to close down or open up in response to lighting conditions.
Neuron
the peripheral nervous system consists of 2 types of nerve systems: 1.cranial and spinal nerves 2.autonimic nervous system; which is further catogerized as : sympathetic nervous system and parasympathetic nervous system. the cranial and the spinal nerves ramify and connect the spinal cord and brain (the central nervous system) to whole of the body. while the autonomic nervous system is responsible for controling the actions of the glands; the functions of the respiratory, circulatory, digestive, and urogenital systems; and the involuntary muscles in these systems and in the skin.
