The mother has neither A nor B blood type genes and at least one Rh positive gene (possibly one Rh negative gene).

That is actually a genetic impossiblity. There are a couple of explanations however. The first one is that the child had a bad blood test and he is actually something else, or the mother has the same issue, or the father has the same issue. The reason being is that A blood type will almost always be passed on.

AA + OO = AO

AO + OO = AO or OO

So as you can tell B is never a player in the equations. The child of type A and type O would either be A or O.

With the Rh factor it is a little more confusing. It is passed on the same way that blood type is passed on.
