Can shock make your hair white?

Sometimes hair turns white because the shock caused you to lose alot of your hair, leaving behind white hair (which was hidden by other hairs)

But actually, shock technically can turn your hair white (scientifically proven)

Although there are a few cases of unexplained reasons of hair turning white, immense shock/pressure/impact (often psychological) causes hair to turn white.

However, the transition to white hair after shock occurs after a week or two; hair is comprised of dead cells and therefore cannot change color on its own when it grows out of the follicle.

Instead, the shock causes you to create white hair; within a few weeks you may notice your hair turning white after a trauma since your body is currently producing white hair.
