There are many different THEORIES on this. the thing is, so many of them are bogus and cannot be done. there are laws in physics that cannot be broken. you CAN time travel. into the future. always into the future. you cannot go to the past. truthfully, what we see with our eyes is the past. for the fact that light still has to travel to our eyes and that still takes time.

Time and Space are interwoven. in Einstein's Theory of Special Relativity, he states in a simplified form, that Energy equals Mass times a constant squared( E=mc^2). As you move faster and approach the speed of light, your mass becomes greater until it reaches infinity, eventually, it would take an infinite amount of energy to move the infinite mass. BUT, light has a finite mass that can be measured. Earth is hit with approximately 8 pounds of sunlight a day. light is actually particles called, Photons. thus proving, that you CAN go the speed of light and not have an infinite mass. this is where you get into the fact that it is RELATIVITY. it is relative to your position in space-time. because of physics, you can go into the future, because as you move faster, time would slow for you, but would move at normal speed for everything around you. this is because as you go faster, the mass becomes greater, thus raising your gravity, thus space-time would warp around you.

a paradox merely states that if you have to objects in the same universe at the same TIME( it has to be of the same matter. the EXACT same. not just another atom of iron that looks the same for example, but THE same), then they would cancel each other, or just blow up the entire universe. although even if they are a fraction of a second away from each other, then the universe and the objects wouldn't cease to exist. so the answer is, Yes. it is theoretical possible
