Could Noah have taken 2-7 of each animal and today you would have a healthy thriving populations wouldn't they be inbred secondly what animals besides ones located in the general area were on the Ark?

First of all, Noah only took 2 of each animal, , one male and the other female, period. Secondly, there was a "no species left behind" rule instated, so all the species were present,

In relation to minor details, it is important not to jump to unwarranted conclusions with little specific detail. For example, it is not stated directly that there was to be only one, one cubit square, window. This is only an assumption. Many details are omitted from the account such as the complete construction blueprint, the animals food, where they were housed inside etc. Nothing can be proved either way from this.

Many have also made assumptions about ancient technology and that therefore such a structure could not have existed. We do know from the measurements given that the design would have been stable i.e. hard to capsize. Although The Bible says that God instructed Noah to take members of every type of animal onto the Ark - without exception - many creationists say the absence of dinosaurs today is explained by Noah not taking dinosaurs onto the Ark. That notion has no biblical support, but helps explain one of the weaknesses in the creationist position.

Of course,if there were only two members of each species, there should be no genetic diversity within species, today. This is simply to say that the story of Noah is simply a legend, with no historical basis. It is a lovely story for young children, but well educated adults tend to find it difficult.
