Not the sun specifically, but a partial supernova was recently found to occasionally happen in two-star systems. See the related link below.
If the sun were to undergo a nova event, it would expel its outer layers into space, creating a bright explosion. This would not result in the complete destruction of the sun, but it would significantly alter its appearance and affect the surrounding planets in the solar system.
The sun may not experience a nova explosion. If it does, then it will affect all planets in the solar system.
Only partially, by warm winds. Mainly radiation from our Sun gives us heat.
fake eclypse or "eclypsus false alarmus"(jk)
Our sun is to small to go super nova.Super nova's happen when a star explodes. For a super nova, the star has to be atleast 5x bigger then our sun. When our sun explodes, you would just see HUGE FIREWORKS.

Exploding sun is called NOVA
A full lunar eclipse covers the whole sun while others only partially cover the sun

A super nova is a sun of a certain size exploding at the end of its life.
During a solar eclipse, when the moon passes between the sun and the Earth, the sun can be partially concealed by the moon. This alignment creates a temporary blocking of sunlight, casting a shadow on Earth.
Only partially, by warm winds. Mainly radiation from our Sun gives us heat.
Florida is more often under the Sun than Nova Scotia.
Nova - 1974 Dimming the Sun 33-16 was released on: USA: 18 April 2006

Our Solar System has only one star, the Sun, and the last time I checked it was still there. It has not gone "nova". See related for more information on novae.
An eclipse of the sun can only occur during a new moon phase when the moon passes between the Earth and the sun, casting a shadow on the Earth. This alignment allows the moon to partially or fully block the sun's light, creating a solar eclipse.
