Yes! There are, and we've found many. However, I think you're asking if there are other planets with life. If so, scientists have concluded (although they haven't found concrete proof yet) that there should be another (more than 1 actually) earth-like planets out there.
We've found over 500 using radial velocity, and another couple hundred from earth based telescopes via transits. In addition, Kepler has found over 2000 planets (so far) orbiting other stars using the transit method. So as of March 2012 we have well over 2500 other planets.
There are probably no planets besides the eight known within our solar system.
They could, but as of now, no astronauts have travelled to any other planets in the solar system.
Jupiter
You can stand on Pluto and mars because they have a solid surface. You could NEVER stand on any of the other planets. They are made of gas, If you were stupid enough to stand on one of the other planets you would die once you get on it
Other than Earth, no planets have been confirmed to be habitable. We do know of planets in other star systems upon which liquid water could theoretically exist but we can't measure the composition of the planets atmospheres therefore we can't know for certain whether or not they are habitable.
Jupiter is the largest planet in the solar System so any of the other planets could fit inside a volume the size of Jupiter, some of them many times over.
could we grow plants on other planets? Answers please.
All planets are affected by the gravity of other planets.
It depends!
Yes, you could explode in space by the pressure of the other planets.
Yes,Other planets could scientists believed some life were on other planets and signs of life
We know nothing about other planets. Our best guesses are for Jupiter sized and larger. Uninhabitable, I'm afraid.
There is no official Christian doctrine that Jesus went to other planets. The knowledge that other planets are worlds like our own is too recent, and so is the understanding that intelligent life could live on other planets. One problem with developing a doctrine that Jesus or God took any interest in any other such planets is that we could one day make contact and discover that the inhabitants have never heard of them.
Yes, there could be life on other rocky planets. We haven't found any so far, but it could be there.
It is possible, even likely, that there are other planets that could support life. We have yet to find any.
They could, but as of now, no astronauts have travelled to any other planets in the solar system.
no because there is no oxogen in space
Yes
