Sir Isaac Newton was born in 1642. During that year, the English Civil War was ongoing in the British Isles between the Royalists and the Parliamentarians.
Isaac Newton (1809 - 1878) contributed much information to the scientific community that is still important to this date. After a trip to the Galapagos Islands, off the shore of South America, young Isaac noticed the differences of beaks on different parts of the island - and that these differences helped their survival. This, along with other evidence found such as the fossil record, helped him come up with the Theory of Evolution. Back in his day, around the time of the Civil War, people were very religious - and this theory excluded their God... so it was looked down upon. However today we are much more secular and can accept it. Just because his information is old, that doesn't make it less helpful/ truthful - so we can still use it to make vaccines and make other discoveries to this day.
Isaac Newton lived during the 17th and early 18th centuries, primarily in England. He was born on January 4, 1643, in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, and later spent significant time at the University of Cambridge. His most notable period of work occurred during the English Civil War and the Restoration period, where he developed groundbreaking theories in physics, mathematics, and astronomy. Newton passed away on March 31, 1727, in Kensington, London.
It is not possible to get to know him in any other way since (in 2016) he has been dead for 289 years.
Ireland did not fight in World War I as it was under British rule at that time. Many Irishmen, however, volunteered to fight with the British Army. The Easter Rising of 1916 in Dublin during the war led to increased support for Irish independence.
