Conifers make seeds but they don't have flowers.
They have cones (such as pine cones) instead. The female cone produces seeds when it is fertilized by the pollen from the male cone, which is smaller and not woody.
Some conifers are: pine, spruce, cedar, larch, cypress, juniper and redwood.
Flowers would not be a characteristic of non seed vascular plants. Non seed vascular plants, such as ferns and mosses, reproduce through spores rather than flowers.
ANGIOSPERMS
Gymnosperms
Flowering seed plants are gymnosperms and angiosperms
Many plants reproduce by seed: all the cereal crops, wheat, oats, barley; then legumes, peas, beans; flowers such as garden varieties, wild flowers such as dandelions, rose bay willow herb - the list is much too long to continue here.
Flowers and reproduce by seed
Angiosperms. Both Angiosperms and Gymnosperms produce seed therefore have flowers however insignificant. The term Spermaphyte covers all plants that produce flowers.
Plants can be grown from seed that come from flowers.
Flowers
Flowers would not be a characteristic of non seed vascular plants. Non seed vascular plants, such as ferns and mosses, reproduce through spores rather than flowers.
ANGIOSPERMS
Angiosperms.
First the seed is planted. Then the seed grows into a plant. The plant flowers. All the flowers fall to the ground. The seeds from those flowers disperse. These seeds grow into new plants.
Gymnosperms
A vascular flowering seed plant has a flower (or flowers) and has a seed (or seeds).
