Do enjoy watching it, don't do anything out of the ordinary. True, it's a curious sight to behold, but not one that shakes the world.

If possible, carefully observe the full moon an hour or half hour before any of earth's shadow begins to touch it. You might also observe the moon after the shadow is totally gone. Is there anything at all unusual about the moon at those times? It's subtle, but if the sky is very clear you should notice something.

You may be in a place where it will be late at night when the eclipse reaches totality; be sure to set your alarm clock. And don't trip over anything walking out in the yard to find your observation spot. Bring a flashlight/torch with you. Don't strain your neck looking up, and don't stay out for long periods; the eclipse will remain total for much longer than a solar eclipse. Go inside for a light snack. there is no danger associated with viewing a lunar eclipse.
