Meteors are mostly made of rocks. Actually a "meteor" is the glowing streak of light that we see as a meteorOID falls through the Earth's atmosphere, so technically a "meteor" is made of incandescent plasma, not anything solid. MeteorOIDS are mostly rocky or metallic, and all meteorITES are, once they hit the Earth (if they survive that long!).
