Not significantly. So long as it is done using a properly designed smart charger, most NiMH batteries can be recharged in about an hour without any damage or significant reduction in their life. However, NiMH batteries must only be rapid charged with a charger specifically designed for charging NiMH batteries. Chargers designed to rapidly charge NiCd batteries can overcharge NiMH batteries. While it may be true that rapid charging NiMH batteries can reduce battery life by a small amount (probably less than 10%), this should be more than offset by the inconvenience of always slow charging batteries.
well your question is kind of awkward. a lithium battery is a cell battery, so i will outline all types of batteries and you can pick which you meant. Lithium Ion/ Lithium Polymer batteries- These are the most expensive, longest lasting, and lightest batteries. they have the highest power density and have no battery memory (that's when u recharge a battery before its empty and it wont go back to empty)- making them the best batteries for most applications. they have high amperage and voltage. BUT BEWARE lithium batteries have two flaws; you need a special charger and you CAN NOT let them completely run out of battery. if you don't follow these rules, you battery will not hold a charge and become useless.... these are rechargeable. Nickle Metal Hydride- these are great all purpose durable batteries. they have slightly lower chaarge life amperage and voltage that lithium, but they do not have the care problems that come with lithium batteries. NiMH batteries MAY be fully discharged if you wish, but do not need to be. also they can work with the normal battery chargers.... these are rechargeable Nickle Cadmium- these are probably the WORST rechargeable batteries. They MUST be fully discharged or else they lose part of their chargelife- this is called battery memory. this means either leaving whatever ur running on until it dies, or buying a special discharger. these batteries also have less power than NiMH in terms of both amperage and voltage. Regular non-rechargeable batteries- lowest amperage, variable voltage. non-rechargeable by definition >.< i wouldn't use these except for cheap, low power applications... like... flashlights. nothing you should be using often.
Yes, lithium batteries can be recharged multiple times. The process involves connecting the battery to a charging device that provides the necessary electrical energy to reverse the chemical reactions that occur during discharge, thereby restoring the battery's energy capacity for future use.
no you can get different amp chargers but they will charge any battery the higher the amps the faster the charge but it is better to charge a battery slowly so you shouldn't charge on very high settings any 12vdc car battery charger will charge a 12vdc car battery
One can buy an AA charger from shops like Currys, Comet, BestBuy. Even some off the superstores like Tesco, Wallmart, ASDA stock AA chargers. It's better to go for AA chargers which show charging indication and auto-cut off once the batteries have been charged, make sure that you use the right battery with correct charger rating.
There are many different types of accessories available for cellular phones. Some accessories include headsets, batteries, chargers, and USB cords for data transfer. Additionally, a person may purchase cases or "skins" for the cellular phones.
Yes, many common retailers sell rechargeable battery chargers. Rechargeable batteries are a great way to save money on batteries for everyday appliances.
Rechargeable batteries save money and are eco- friendly. Most common sized rechargeable batteries are sold separately from a charger. Often one will readily find the batteries, but not a suitable charger. Some chargers only handle one or two sizes of batteries, while others can charge sizes from AAA to D, and 9 Volt. Chargers are available that run on AC power; plug them into any standard household outlet. Other models use solar energy to charge batteries.
Yep, there are for Wii remotes that have rechargeable batteries.
You can buy AAA rechargeable batteries and their appropriate chargers online at places like Wal-Mart and Amazon. You can also buy them from All Batteries. The batteries average $12 to $13.
Consumers who are tired of throwing out their drained AA batteries should consider buying rechargeable batteries and investing in an AA battery charger. These battery chargers only work with rechargeable batteries, and both chargers and compatible batteries are manufactured by Duracell, Energizer, Nikon, and various other companies. AA battery chargers are available in stores such as Best Buy and Target, and vary in cost from 15 to 50 dollars, depending on the model.
You need a charger too and you have to be sure it's the right type.In particular you can't use older chargers on NiMH batteries.
Some electronic games do come with chargers where you can plug in the system and wait for it to charge up. PSPs, Nintendo DS, and games similar to these are examples of games that come with chargers. For those games that don't you can go out and purchase your own rechargeable batteries at places like Walmart or stores that carry electronics.
Depends a bit on who you ask. Some - manufacturers of special chargers - will say that you can, at least a few times, if you use their chargers. OTOH, according to the manufacturers of "real" rechargeable batteries, theirs are the only ones that can be recharged. People who have tried the special chargers, and charging supposedly non rechargeable batteries will usually tell you that it does work, but that you don't get much capacity, and you only get a few charges before they're entirely useless. Oh, and sometimes they leak/burst. And don't try charging non-rechargeable batteries in a regular charger. That will almost always lead to the batteries leaking or bursting.
Rechargeable batteries are special because they are specially made to do so. Batteries that are capable of recharging will be stated on the label (eg. duracell rechargeable) and are usually more expensive.
You can find chargers for Panasonic rechargeable batteries from many sources. Chances are they are available at your local Walmart or Target. They are also available online on Amazon.
That really depends on what charger you are using. Some chargers fill up your batteries in just a couple of hours or less, but others (mostly older chargers) can also take 10 hours to do it! Maybe the manual of your chargers says something about the charging time of your batteries.
A battery charger is used specifically for rechargeable batteries. It cannot be used with regular batteries. It's a base that's plugged into an electrical outlet. You place the batteries on the base to charge them to be used multiple times.
