A mollusk (mollusc) is an invertebrate. Some mollusks (e.g. snails, shellfish) have hard exoskeletons.
Gastropods (literally stomach foot), or slugs and snails, are eaten by such creatures as thrushes (which smash them onto rocks). Frogs are one of the main predators for slugs and snails, but beetles, hedgehogs and shrews will all eat them - to name just a few.
Snails and slugs are mollusks. This means they are related to other shellfish such as clams and oysters. Like other mollusks, snails and slugs cannot live in direct sunlight or dry heat, and survive in moist, wet environments.
Forget-me-nots are mildly toxic to grazing animals. They are eaten by slugs, snails, aphids, and spider mites.
Yes. Excessive sweat and tears can cause a build up of salt in the soil. This affects slugs and snails who live on the soil. Numbers of slugs and snails has an impact on any bird population whose main food group is slugs and snails.
