Do you have to dissect animals to be a zoologist?

Yes, when I was in high school we had to dissect a human body. It was actually the body of a kid who had died the week of a rare form of cancer. It was kind of an impromptu project but I learned a lot from it. If you have any questions about the inside of the body please let me know because I consider myself an expert on this subject

Ignore that -- nobody dissects the bodies of kids who died the week before! They're still at the autopsy room or in the morgue. In high school, you should dissect animals like earthworms, frogs, and maybe baby pigs.
