Erysipelas, also known as St. Anthony's Fire, is an intensely red bacterial infection that occurs on the face and lower extremities. I can't see anywhere that it causes fungal infections but ppl who has a fungal infection, yeast, has an increased risk to get Erysipelas.

Do onions cause yeast infections?

Onions do not directly cause yeast infections. However, they contain compounds that can influence the body's microbiome and immune response. A diet high in sugar and refined carbohydrates is more commonly linked to yeast infections, as it can promote the growth of Candida, the yeast responsible for these infections.
