I have conducted research about the question if gumamelas produce seeds... It doesn't show anything. But when I tried to search 'hibiscus seeds' (hibiscus is the english word for gumamela), it showed there that gumamela/hibiscus does produce seeds! I don't know if it's true. I thought at first that it was a joke or lie but when I visited a website abput hibiscus seeds, it showed evidences that makes it quite true... :)
Squash plants are typically monoecious, meaning they have both staminate (male) and pistillate (female) flowers on the same plant. The staminate flowers produce pollen, while the pistillate flowers develop into the fruit after pollination. For optimal fruit production, both types of flowers need to be present and pollination must occur.
