I done this experiment for 3 weeks and the juice i used (white Grape Juice) did not rust the nail.
I don't believe; an iron nail is rusted in lemon juice and ocean water.
Substances like vinegar, lemon juice, or baking soda can be used to remove rust from a nail. These substances contain acids that help break down the rust, making it easier to scrub off the surface of the nail. Additionally, commercial rust removers or specialized rust-removing solutions can also effectively remove rust from nails.
Orange juice contains citric acid, which can act as a weak electrolyte and facilitate the flow of electrons between metal and oxygen, causing rusting. The acidity of orange juice can also break down the protective oxide layer on the metal surface, exposing it to oxygen and moisture, two key factors in the rusting process.
Water is the most common liquid that can cause a nail to rust due to the presence of oxygen and moisture, which triggers the oxidation process on iron in the nail. Other liquids that are acidic or contain salts can also accelerate the rusting process.
It depends on the quality of the nail. If it is painted it Amy take long to rust. In general it may take a month or so for the nail to rust.
Yes
yes it will =)
The water (H2O) in it.
because of the citric acid
hi
niether it will rust faster in soda because of the chemicals and acids in the soda. F.Y.I soda eats your stomach just like it will eat the iron nail. if you dont believe this look it up or ask your science teacher or parent(s)
Go to the store and buy a nail and some apple juice then try it out!!
Rust occurs when a metal oxidizes. The ingredients needed to make a metal rust is oxygen and breaking compounds such as the citric acid in orange juice or salty water in oceans.
The liquid that would rust the nail faster would be coke, as it is acidic and can accelerate the rusting process. Vinegar could also speed up the rusting due to its acidity, while orange juice and water would not have as strong of an effect on rusting.
material:2 peniies1 pack of index cards1can of soda2 cups1 mug of orange juiceIf I put a penny in orange juice the penny won't get rusted. The orange juice can't make pennies rust because it will just make it wet also the soda. Soda might not make the pennies rust.Orange juice won't make a penny rust because it might make it more orangey. So orange juice can't make a penny rust.
No. The orange juice has CuO which cleans the penny by dissolving the rust off of it.
no it will not rust a nail because the asdi in the lemon juice cleans the nail
