Yes the Earth does rotate like the other planets (except for the distance of the rotation(assuming your talking about the rotation around the Sun); the wobble of the Earths axis compared to other planets; and the time it takes to rotate)

Does Neptune rotate horizontally?

No, Neptune axis of rotation, like that of Earth is basically at right angles to the plane of the ecliptic (the plane in which the planets rotate round the sun). It is Uranus that has a unique configuration among the planets because its axis of rotation is tilted sideways, nearly into the plane the ecliptic, (i.e. its north and south poles lie where most other planets have their equators).

Why do planets have different day lenghts?

Planets have different day lengths due to variations in their rotation speeds and sizes. Planets closer to the Sun, like Mercury, have shorter day lengths because they rotate faster. Larger planets, such as Jupiter, have longer day lengths due to their slower rotation speeds.

Do planets have Ozone?

Earth has an ozone layer in atmosphere. It is present in the stratospheric region. Other planets which have oxygen in their environment might have ozone. Some planets like earth do. Others might have.

Do gas planets rotate around their axes faster than rock ones?

Yes, gas planets tend to rotate faster around their axes than rocky planets. This is because gas giants like Jupiter and Saturn have less dense atmospheres and larger sizes, which allows them to rotate more quickly due to conservation of angular momentum. Rock planets like Earth and Mars have denser compositions and smaller sizes, leading to slower rotation speeds.

Can you see other planets when your on Mars?

Yes, other planets would be visible from Mars just like they are from Earth. Mars has a similar night sky to Earth, so you can see planets like Venus, Jupiter, and Saturn, as well as stars and our own moon.

Do all planets self rotate like earth?

yes

How long does it take mars to rotate around the world?

Mars does not rotate around the Earth. It rotates around the Sun, just like all the other planets/

What objects other than the earth rotate?

Many celestial objects, like planets, moons, stars, and galaxies, rotate on their axes. This rotation causes phenomena like day and night on Earth, and changes in visibility of certain parts of celestial bodies.

What are satellies used for?

artificial satellites are used for scientists to study planets and take pictures and learn about space. natural satellites are just pretty much there, they rotate the planets just like our planets rotate the sun. the moon is one of earth's natural satellites.

How is the earth similar to other planets?

well the Earth is not exactly the same to other planets actually, it is the same because they're all parts of the solar system and they pretty much spin in the same direction but their features/characteristics are not much similar. Neither it is in size nor in appearance sooo....Hope this helps !!

How long do planets take to rotate once?

The time it takes for a planet to complete one rotation on its axis is known as its sidereal day. For example, Earth takes approximately 24 hours to complete one rotation. Other planets like Venus have longer rotation periods, for instance 243 Earth days for Venus to rotate once.

How does a planets revolution relate to orbital period?

The planets rotation does not really relate to the orbital period. Some planets like Mercury and Venus and Mars orbit the sun in a short time, but take a long time to rotate on their axis, Earth is the exception, where a collision with the moon many years ago may have caused its days to be a lot shorter than the other rocky planets. Saturn and Jupiter rotate fairly quickly on their axis.

What is necessary for other planets in your solar system to have seasons like Earth?

the planet needs to be tilted on an axis and rotate around the sun so the sun will be strongest on different points of the world in different times of the revolution

What is the difference between planets that rotations time are shorter than earth to planets rotation time that are longer than earth?

The outer planets all rotate faster than the inner planets. Each of them has a rotational period shorter than an Earth day. All of the inner planets have rotational periods longer than one Earth day. The outer planets are mostly made up of hydrogen, helim, and ice, and they are much larger than the inner planets which are mostly iron and various types of rock.
