I'll use distilled water under 1 atmosphere of pressure for this example;

Melting point - Any higher than 0 °C, ice (solid) turns into water (liquid)

Boiling Point - 100 °C or above, water (liquid) turns into steam (gas)

So for water,

Melting Point = 0 °C

Boiling Point = 100 °C

An example for boiling point is when you put water on the stove and you put the stove to high the water then boils.

For melting point an example could be like if you put ice on a table and leave it there it will eventually melt.

Solid to liquid called?

Example of solid changing toliquid:when you take an ice and put it to thaw out it changes to water (liquid) and is the same for liquid to solid; you freeze water(liquid) and it turns to ice (solid)

Melting is an example of a?

Melting is an example of a phase change. The substance is going from the solid state to the liquid state.

How does a solid change to a liquid in science?

Solid changes to liquid when a substance reaches it's melting point. For example, water's melting point is 0 degree celcius.

What is the state of change from liquid to solid?

It is called melting when a solid turns into a liquid

Cement hardening an example of melting?

Cement hardening is not an example of melting. Melting involves a substance changing from a solid to a liquid state due to heat, while cement hardening is a chemical process where the cement mixture reacts and forms bonds to create a rigid solid structure.

At what temperature does liquid become solid?

At its melting point. For example, the melting point of ice is 0 degrees celsius, so ice (solid) will melt to become water (liquid) at this temperature.

Give an example of a reversible change?

An example of a reversible change is an ice cube meting into water and then changing back to an ice cube again if frozen. Another is chocolate melting when heated and changing back to a solid when cooled.

Difference Between Melting And Freezing?

Melting is when a solid forms in to a liquid causing it to melt. For an example an ice cube is a solid and when it melts into water it turns into a liquid. Freezing is when a liquid forms into a solid. for an example water can freeze up and turn it into an ice cube. Look i said before ice cube is a solid so if water turns into a solid it is freezing.
