Mars, the 4th planet from the sun. It is named mars since it is red, like blood.
Maybe. Space is so big, filled with stars I am sure are planet isn't the only one with life. Comment: "Ares" could be a bad spelling of "ours", as the above answer seems to suggest. But it probably means "Ares", which is basically another name for Mars. There may be another planet like Mars, somewhere, I guess. I've checked, and a supervisor capitalised "Ares". So, now I think it was just a misspelling if "ours" by the contributor.
The Greeks created Ares, the god of war, to personify the brutal and violent aspects of warfare. He was depicted as being bloodthirsty and chaotic, serving as a reminder of the destructive nature of war. It allowed them to understand and explain the complexities of conflict in their mythology.
The red planet. The Greeks called it "Ares". The Babylonians called it "Nergal". The Hindus called it "Mangala". In Sanskrit, it was "Mangala". The Egyptians called it "Horus the Red". The Hebrews called it "Ma'adim". The Persians called it "Bahram". The Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese cultures referred to it as "the fire star".
Ares was known as the "God of War" to the Greeks. This might count as a nickname. His name was often linked to the other gods when they were about war-like activities.. Early manes or Ares included "Enyalios" Ares might also be referred to as "son of Zeus and Hera"
