No. Not on record. We are protected by Moreton and other islands, so it is very unlikely for Bribie to be hit by a tsunami.
Yes, tsunamis have hit the Pacific Ocean. The Pacific Ocean is known for being part of the Pacific Ring of Fire, which is an area prone to earthquakes and volcanic activity. These events can trigger tsunamis that can affect countries bordering the Pacific Ocean.
Any coastal port/ city (as well as some inland ones), are always vulnerable to a tsunami. While tsunamis which are generated by earthquakes are the most common (and these are in now well defined zones), not all tsunamis are generated by them. Tsunami can also be generated by under sea landslides or meteorite impacts.
Since the beginning of time, countless numbers of tsunamis have hit the United States and its territories. However, many of these tsunamis have not hit contiguous states, and were directed at Hawaii.
No. There were large waves, but waves produce by hurricanes and other storms, not matter how big, are not tsunamis. Tsunamis are a very different type of wave.
Taiwan has experienced several tsunamis throughout its history, although they are relatively rare events. Notable tsunamis include those triggered by nearby earthquakes, such as the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami, which affected coastal regions. The impact of tsunamis on Taiwan is generally less severe compared to other regions, but the island remains vigilant due to its seismic activity. Accurate records of tsunamis in Taiwan date back several centuries, but the total number is not definitively quantified.

well first of all, people are going to get hit by tsunamis but also buildings are likely to get detroyed too depending on how high and how strong was it. a tsunamis occur when the ocean gets desturbed( example:earthquake-anything that shakes the land ). tsunamis are no laughing matter.
