According to Newton's Third Law, every action has an equal and opposite reaction. So, action-reaction forces are equal in magnitude (size) and opposite in direction.

For example, a bug hits the windshield of a car. The force of the car on the bug is equal to the force of the bug on the car. The accelerations of the two are obviously different, because acceleration depends on mass. Unintuivie, but true.
