On averager they are somewhere around 13 inches. but some of been known to grow as long as 2 feet. *another answer* I encountered a titan triggerfish while snorkelling in Sharm El Sheikh Egypt, and it looked to be about half a metre long..I kept away from it as I know they are protective of their habitats, and they have nasty looking teeth :S
