The coldness of the ice stops things in the ice from decay, so if a fossil is in ice it won't decay. A few years ago in the Italian alps a mummy of a man was found when a glacier melted. He was dated to having been alive 5,000 years ago and his clothes, shoes, weapons, and other items were still intact enough to get information about him. The ice had preserved him for us to learn about him.

A fossil is any evidence of an organism preserved in rock.
A fossil is any trace of an organism preserved in a rock.
fossil.
No, an ice core is not a fossil. Ice cores are cylindrical sections of ice drilled from glaciers and ice sheets that contain layers of ice accumulated over thousands of years, capturing climate data and atmospheric composition from various historical periods. Fossils, on the other hand, are the preserved remains or traces of ancient organisms, such as bones or imprints, typically found in sedimentary rock. While both provide valuable information about Earth's history, they originate from different processes and materials.
mammoth,wolf,polar bear and caribou

A preserved fossil is an organism or Animal that has been PERFECTLY PRESERVED for lots of years, or however old it may be. For example, a wooly mammoth frozen in the ice for millions of years would be known as a preserved fossil. There are 2 different types of fossil preservation- preservation with alteration and without. With alteration also has different types. The type of organism you are looking for depends on the how it was preserved.
A. carbonaceous filmsB.molds and castsC.petrified remainsD.original fossil remains
A fossil is any evidence of an organism preserved in rock.
Petrified fossils are organisms preserved I'm other substances such as amber, tar, ice, or other substances
fossil's that have been preserved over a long period of time
Sediment and tree sap
yes
A fossil is basically a formerly living thing where all or most of the parts have been replaced by minerals over periods of thousands/millions of years so that when they are unearthed, they retain the original shape, but they are made of minerals/stone. The so-called "ice man" had been preserved in deep freeze for only about 5000 years or so, so no fossilization had occurred.
"Preserve" is both a verb and a noun. As a verb it means to keep from deteriorating. E.g. I preserved the evidence by putting it in an evidence bag. I preserved the fossil by covering it up. As a noun, it means a sauce made from preserved fruit. E.g. I served ice cream with a preserve for a dessert.
