alfred wegener gave theory on continental drift explaining that the continents were all at one point one big land mass called Pangea. using the fossils found on costs and the fact that the continents all fit together like puzzle proved it. but during his time the theory wasn't excepted because he couldn't explain why:)
The fossil symbols were helpful in deciding where to move the continents because it showed where land and water dinosaurs could and could not live, especially with the non-swimmers in Africa and South America. There is also proof of some mountains matching in Western Europe and Greenland.
Because he found fossils of plants that has heavy seeds and cant travel with seeds across oceans on a lot of the continents that are separated by oceans. Also, he found an oceanic animal that is only fresh water on parts of land that are separated by salt water. The fossils of the fern like plant was called Glossopteris
Fossils are not found in water, but rather in the sediment deposits which includes the bottom of a body of water. Fossils are especially prevalent in shallow marine environments where they may become well preserved.
Yes, during the time of the dinosaurs, there was more land than water on Earth. The supercontinent Pangaea existed during the Mesozoic era, which was the time when dinosaurs lived. As Pangaea broke apart, it eventually led to the formation of the continents we have today.
well, everything was water at one point so fish fossils get there pretty easy because when the dinosaurs were here it was tropical not a desert.
dinos die then they float across the water
Yes, because he found fossils from a fresh water lizard, in two different continents separated by salt water.
The fossils of animals were found the three different continents, but no animal could've swam that far across the salt water, so there had to be another way. Also, the plant fossil glossopteris was discovered in Antarctica, where no plants could live.

There's water on all the continents.
Alfred Wegener used various types of evidence to support his theory of continental drift, including the fit of the continents, similar rock formations and mountain ranges across continents, distribution of fossils, and matching of plant and animal species across continents. He also relied on similarities in geological structures and paleoclimate data to argue that the continents were once part of a single supercontinent called Pangaea.
There is no evidence of dinosaurs drinking anything besides freshwater. Most fossils of any animal are of animals that fell into rivers or lakes after death and were buried in mud.
lithosphere Islands and continents are usually found in areas that have been surrounded by a large mass of water.

because most fossils are sea creatures, that are by the sea :)
